Bar Takeover 16: Intuit Coffee x Fr. Albert Garong

Intuit Coffee held its Sip & Serve: A Coffee for a Cause event last November 8, featuring a special bar takeover by Fr. Albert Garong. He is the head barista of Kape ni Maria, a parish-rooted café that champions accessible specialty coffee while supporting local communities and church-led outreach programs.

This marked the first collaboration between Intuit Coffee and Kape ni Maria, sparked from a simple encounter at a previous event, after which Intuit Coffee immediately invited them for this collaboration.

Beyond the bar, Fr. Albert is also the host and producer of PADScast, a storytelling and reflections podcast on Spotify where he talks about faith, everyday struggles, social realities, and the small moments that shape people’s lives.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of coffee and community from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Intuit Coffee Store in Greenhills. As part of Intuit Coffee’s tradition, a portion of the bar takeover’s earnings is annually donated to a chosen charity to support its programs and create a meaningful impact.

The event highlighted Intuit Coffee’s commitment to advocacy, using coffee as a way to foster compassion, connection, and community support.
