2025 PCQC Winners
This year’s Philippine Coffee Quality Competition (PCQC) brings together bold flavors, distinct processes, and the unwavering spirit of Filipino coffee farmers. At Intuit Coffee, we’re honored to feature four remarkable coffees from this year’s winners—two from the highlands of Ilocos Sur and two from the fertile slopes of Davao. Each bean reflects not only agricultural skill, but also the stories of communities who continue to push Philippine coffee forward.
Mabini Ubuan PCQC 2025
A standout Fine Robusta from Ilocos Sur, this naturally processed coffee by Mabini Ubuan offers unexpected complexity. Its tasting notes—strawberry wine, plum, and macadamia—create a cup that’s full-bodied yet balanced, fruit-forward but not overpowering. This 1000g lot is best enjoyed as a slow filter brew, ideal for those who want richness and vibrancy in one grounded cup.
Marieta Lidem PCQC 2025
Marieta Lidem’s Fine Robusta is both familiar and surprising. With flavor notes of arnibal (sugarcane syrup), cardamom, and hazelnut, this 100g filter roast brings a cozy spiced sweetness that suits quiet mornings or thoughtful afternoons. Grown and processed naturally in Ilocos Sur, it’s a small but memorable cup with depth and warmth.
Marivic Dubria PCQC 2025
From the lush Davao Region comes this bold and zesty Catimor by Marivic Dubria. Anaerobically processed and roasted for filter, this 1000g lot bursts with pomelo, orange zest, and cacao nibs—a layered cup that sparkles with citrus brightness and finishes with cocoa richness. It’s a coffee that challenges expectations and rewards the curious palate.
Dione Ellaga PCQC 2025
Dione Ellaga’s Yellow Bourbon, grown in Davao and processed using the anaerobic natural method, delivers a syrupy, dessert-like experience. With notes of red cherry, nougat, and native pili, this 100g filter roast captures the depth of local ingredients and craft. It’s smooth, elegant, and proudly Filipino in both flavor and spirit.
Each coffee in our PCQC 2025 lineup carries the pride of its origin, the innovation of its farmer, and the potential of Philippine coffee on the global stage. From Ilocos to Davao, these beans highlight the diversity and richness of our land—one carefully roasted cup at a time.
