Mabini Ubuan PCQC 2025

Mabini Ubuan

Coffee Farmer, Ilocos Sur

Since 1986, Mabini Ubuan has been farming coffee in the uplands of Ilocos Sur, where steep terrain and the absence of access roads make harvesting a daily challenge. Despite the hardships, his commitment has carried through nearly four decades of farming.

His Fine Robusta earned recognition at Philippine Coffee Quality Competition 2025, proving the strength of Ilocos-grown beans. Ranking 4th place, Mabini Ubuan PCQC 2025 offers a natural-processed profile of strawberry wine and ripe plum, rounded by a smooth macadamia finish, a bold yet balanced cup that highlights the richness of local Robusta.

Coffee traceability ensures that every step of the coffee’s journey—from farm to cup—is documented and verifiable. Using scientific data and geographical identification, traceability programs promote authenticity, quality, and transparency, allowing consumers to know exactly where their coffee comes from and supporting sustainable practices for farmers.
