French Press

Parameters:
- Coffee Beans: Use freshly roasted coffee beans and grind them to a coarse consistency, similar to breadcrumbs.
- Coffee Dose: A common starting point is using 1:15 to 1:17 coffee-to-water ratio. For example, for 200 grams of water, use around 14 grams of coffee.
- Water Temperature: The water temperature should be around 208°F (98°C).
- Brew Time: The total brew time is typically between 4 to 7 minutes.
Procedure:
- Grind your coffee beans. You need a medium coarse sized grind in order to get a full extraction from your coffee.
- Pre-Heat your French press with warm water and disregard after. Add your coffee and fill it up with boiling water.
- Wait for 4 minutes, give it a stir to allow the grounds to settle.
- Anything left on top after this, you want to scrape away and wait for another 3 minutes.
- After 3 minutes, all the coffee should sink to the bottom. It’s time to plunge but do it gently and don’t touch any of the grounds settled at the bottom.
