AeroPress
Parameters:
- Coffee Beans: Use freshly roasted coffee beans and grind them to a fine grind size consistency, it's finer than sand, but not as fine as an espresso grind.
- Coffee Dose: A common starting point is using 14 grams of coffee for a standard AeroPress.
- Water Temperature: The water temperature should be around 194°F to 203 °F(90°C-95°C).
- Brew Time: The total brew time is typically between 2 to 3 minutes.
- Grind your coffee to medium-fine grind.
- Heat your water to boiling, set it to 194°F to 203 °F(90°C-95°C).
- Pull plunger to separate entirely from chamber
- Put filter (paper or metal) in filter cap.
- Twist filter cap onto chamber.
- Stand chamber on sturdy mug and add 14 g pf coffee. Shake gently to level.
- Add 200 g of water on chamber.
- Stir gently for 10 seconds. Insert plunger into chamber. Let it sit for 30 seconds.
- Apply gentle constant pressure (not too hard). It's normal to feel some resistance. However too much resistance means your coffee grind is probably too fine.
- Remove filter cap then push the plunger through until you heat the pop and the coffee grounds pop out.
