AeroPress

Parameters:

  1. Coffee Beans: Use freshly roasted coffee beans and grind them to a fine grind size consistency, it's finer than sand, but not as fine as an espresso grind.
  2. Coffee Dose: A common starting point is using 14 grams of coffee for a standard AeroPress.
  3. Water Temperature: The water temperature should be around 194°F to 203 °F(90°C-95°C).
  4. Brew Time: The total brew time is typically between 2 to 3 minutes.
    Procedure:
    1. Grind your coffee to medium-fine grind.
    2. Heat your water to boiling, set it to 194°F to 203 °F(90°C-95°C).
    3. Pull plunger to separate entirely from chamber
    4. Put filter (paper or metal) in filter cap.
    5. Twist filter cap onto chamber.
    6. Stand chamber on sturdy mug and add 14 g pf coffee. Shake gently to level.
    7. Add 200 g of water on chamber.
    8. Stir gently for 10 seconds. Insert plunger into chamber. Let it sit for 30 seconds.
    9. Apply gentle constant pressure (not too hard). It's normal to feel some resistance. However too much resistance means your coffee grind is probably too fine.
    10. Remove filter cap then push the plunger through until you heat the pop and the coffee grounds pop out.
